Let’s Talk About the Costs
We are the only Recruiter in Harare who is transparent upfront to international job seekers! So lets break it down here!
Looking for a job overseas, especially in Australia is an investment on its own. Its not a walk in the park and it requires proper planning, saving and researching. We know that making such a big move requires careful planning. Here’s what you can expect in terms of investment:
1. Recruiter in Harare Service Fees:
Our standard fee is USD $600.00. This covers everything from profile matching, job placement to interview prep and visa assistance.
2. Visa Costs
A skilled visa (subclass 482) will set you back around AUD 4 115.00. Keep in mind, this is for you alone—additional fees apply if you're bringing family. We should also include costs associated with medicals, clearances and permits that makes one migration ready. Its not always the case where the employer wilfully embrace and cover these costs as a sponsorship package. Some employers will lodge a nomination for you and have nothing to do with the succeeding processes like visas and flights!
3. Skills Assessment
Before you can work in Australia, you'll need to get your qualifications assessed, which usually costs about AUD $3 000.00. The skills assessment process is a two stage process which involves document verification and valiation and the second stage being a technical interview with the Assessing Board's representative.
4. Relocation Expenses
Moving isn’t cheap either. Once the visa has been granted, normally employers give a grace period of at least 12 weeks before one starts working. The candidate has to organize for their accommodation and flights, so plan to budget between AUD $5 000.00 - AUD 10 000.00 for flights, temporary accommodation, and other initial expenses.
5. Other Essentials:
Don't forget about health insurance, which can cost around AUD $1 500.00 a year, plus any other little things that pop up along the way.
Total Estimated Investment: AUD 14 115.00 - AUD 19 115.00
Is It Worth It? Absolutely! The experience and opportunities you’ll gain in Australia are well worth the initial costs. As Skilled Worker Connect we’re here to help make your transition as smooth as possible, so you can focus on what really matters—your career and your future.
